Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate

Craving something sweet, salty and comforting all at the same time? This delectable treat is one of our all time favourites and is affectionately known as a ‘hug in a mug’ at the eat.art office.

Ingredients:

100 ml cream

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp dark brown sugar

½ tsp eat.art Cyprus flake salt

500 ml milk

80 g milk chocolate

1 tbsp cocoa powder

Method:

Place 30 ml of the cream, the butter, sugar and salt in a saucepan and heat until the sugar dissolves. Remove from pan and set aside. Whisk the rest of the cream and set aside. Scald the milk and remove from heat. Add the chocolate and cocoa and stir until melted. Divide between 2 mugs (you will have leftover for late night snacking!) Top with the whipped cream and a drizzle of the salted caramel sauce.
