With the Easter Bunny’s visit just around the corner – I am thinking of different ways to disperse with all the chocolate that piles up over this iconic weekend….given that I still have leftovers from last year!
And with some assured need of savoury amongst all the sweet I am thinking of experimenting with chocolate and chilli! An infamous pair some might say, but that would be by those who have tasted it prepared correctly. I have had both, an expertly exquisite combination of sweet coupled with the paprika-style bite of the chilli moving through the chocolate linger; AND the overly sweet chocolate sauce that claims to be infused…with what exactly?
So, I am thinking I might have to put my skills to the test using the best known chilli infusion I can find which would obviously be from Eat.Arts Chilli Addict range of sauces…perfection in a bottle (if you are a lover of heat) and graded so that you can tailor your heat according to your guests preferences.
My family ultimately requires two sauce experiments….one not too hot and the other with the Habanero 10/10 “lethal, punishingly hot with horns” especially for my dad-in-law a.k.a Mr Habenero (do you remember him from the Chilli-con-Carnival blog last year?).
I also feel strongly that the cut of meat is absolutely essential in creating the right taste balance given that this is a relatively sophisticated blend of flavours. I am told venison is particularly good unless you aren’t a game lover and opt for a mature rump of clean cut of fillet. Another little birdie has also told me that chipotle offers an additional element of smoke which could potentially set your sauce apart from the rest! Lucky you and Chilli Addict offers a Smokey Chipotle in their range…nudge, nudge!
So….over this Easter weekend and in the week to follow – we challenge you to send us your winning CHOCOLATE-CHILLI de la irrissistance – all in the name of our love of chocolate and Chilli Addict!
The best part…that the winner gets to add 3 of the Eat.Art Chilli Addict sauces to their pantry at the end of it. A good accompanying pic may help you clinch the prize otherwise send us your saucy secret recipe, which may end up on the Eat.Art website at the very least! A win-win I would say seeing as your ingredients speak for themselves!
Oh, and yes, I am entering this one too 😉
Happy Easter to you and your loved ones – stay safe if you are on the roads!
